Fall and winter are typically reserved as cuffing season, however it seems like this season everyone is breaking up! First Mariah and Nick, then Tyga and Blac Chyna, the just a day after Amber Rose announced she is divorcing Wiz Khalifa now another Hollywood couple is calling it quits.

According to multiple sources including E! News Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have officially split. The outlet also claims that the couple who have been together since September 2011, had a mutual breakup, “but they still care very deeply for each other and will remain in each other’s lives as friends.”

Additionally a source told Us Weekly, “They are both upset. It just wasn’t working out. It was a lot of travel and hard to work with their schedules.”

The news comes as a major surprise as the two have been a red carpet staple together, and you rarely see them without each other since they began dating. In 2013, Jason released “Marry Me,” a song he wrote about Jordin and she was his leading lady in the video. The duo was spotted most recently at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards back in August, however On Sept. 10, Jordin shared an interesting Instagram post about love. In the quote, it read: “Love is working through all the challenges and painful times.”

Sad news for fans of the couple.
