Could the broken friendship between Nene Leakes and Cynthia Bailey be headed back on track? Following the conclusion of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ reunion part 3 last night (Sunday May 10) many fans are wondering.

During the emotional finale, we saw as Nene broke down, cried, shaking and even walked off set when the topic of her mother and past abandonment issues were brought up in front of the ladies.

In a shocking yet touching move all the ladies comforted Nene, including Cynthia who was the first to jump up and run to Nene’s side following Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks once Nene began to unravel as we’ve never seen her do before. Despite the fact that just moments before the ladies were screaming, shouting accusations and at each others necks, it ended with the comforting scene and group hug.

Following the airing, Leakes took to her website to discuss her breakdown and revealed she was happy that she could give the viewers a different look at her than what we’ve seen in recent years.

“Honestly I do not like being vulnerable in front of people who do not like me! My exterior can be tough to some but my heart is gold! I have gotten soooo many text messages about this scene tonight. (I didn’t watch) my phone has literally caught on fire! I’m happy to know that I helped or inspired anyone that watch #RHOA #strongwoman” she shared.

She also shared a snap of herself, Porsha and Phaedra and acknowledged Cynthia being there for her also despite their issues.

“So Thankful for Porsha & Phaedra! They didn’t judge me! They calmed me and gave me strength that day! Thank you @porsha4real @phaedraparks @cynthiabailey10 gave me a big ole hug” she shared.

Then the snap below of Cynthia and Nene hugged up and smiling afterward also surfaced, which has us wondering if there is possibility of a reconciliation.

Cynthia revealed what her thoughts are on Nene and her breakdown during a Bravo Q&A blog on Sunday night.

Bravotv.com: What was going through your mind when NeNe walked off?

Cynthia Bailey: My natural reaction when NeNe broke down and walked off was to go to her and hug her. I had no idea how I would be received or what I would say to her, but my heart said go after her, and I did. NeNe and I were friends. Real friends that spent real time together outside of the show. Regardless of what the status of that friendship was during the reunion, I never want to see her hurt.

Bravotv.com: Why did you follow her into the dressing room?

CB: I followed her to the dressing room because I wanted her to know that I was close by if she needed me. My spirit told me it was the right thing to do, and I did not question it.

Bravotv.com: Do you feel like everyone ended the reunion in a better place?

CB: I have always looked at the reunion as an opportunity for the ladies to address their issues face to face and try to move forward. When people want to make amends and move on, it usually works out. Unless they want the drama to continue. None of us is perfect. We all have said things about one another over the years, made fun of each other, and have crossed the line in one way or the other. People forgive whom they want to forgive, and hold grudges with whom they want to hold grudges. I can’t speak for the other ladies, but I felt like I was in a better place when the reunion ended. I was open to resolution, and that is what matters to me. How someone responds to it is their choice.

Do you think the ladies will repair their relationship? Do you want to see a Nene/Cynthia reunion for season 8?? Thoughts, Like, Comment, Share!
