Uptownfunk

Everyone’s favorite song right now ‘Uptown Funk’ performed by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars is still burning up the airwaves, clubs and the charts. The feel good uptempo track is set to join the small and exclusive list of songs for the longest chart-topping single on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Singersroom reports that the single has tied for the second longest position in the history of the chart after notching its 14th week atop the countdown.

The record joins seven other songs that have spent 14 weeks at number one, including ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by Black Eyed Peas, ‘We Belong Together’ by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You.’

If ‘Uptown Funk!’ can maintain its stay for another two weeks, it would tie Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s 1995 collaboration, ‘One Sweet Day,’ which holds the title of 16 weeks in the top spot.
