As we got word last week that the fate of TV One’s ‘R&B Divas: Atlanta’ is up in the air, its successor ‘R&B Divas: LA’ is gearing up to return in a matter of weeks. We have heard some tidbits of juice on the upcoming season including the rumored addition of ‘X-Factor’ contestant Stacy Francis, and as of last week it was also alleged that season 2 addition Chrisette Michele quit the show weeks into taping. It was said that she had issues with the new addition Stacy and the alleged drama that is being stirred up with her coming into the group, although this has not been confirmed.

Well in a recent interview that was done back in December, Chrisette dished on the upcoming season and alluded to the drama that is going down with the new cast member who remained nameless. When quizzed if the woman is a throwback R&B diva or a current one, Chrisette confirmed that its a similar situation to women on the housewife shows that aren’t actually housewives which would seemingly confirm that Stacy is indeed who she is speaking of since she never actually released an album or had any success as a signed artist.

Chrisette also compared the new season to ‘Love & Hip Hop’ meets ‘The Mary Tyler Moore’ show. The MTMS reference she says relates to Chante Moore who she clashed with constantly in season 2. Chrisette says the two are in a much better space and that Chante is the person she is actually getting along with the most. She also revealed the release date that was originally scheduled for January 21, but as we know has now  been pushed back to February 11. Check out the interview below.

The season 3 trailer for ‘R&B Divas: LA’ is just days away and we will post it as soon as its available.
