Chrisette Michele Opens Up on Aftermath of Performing For Trump Inauguration, Suicidal Thoughts, Depression, Backlash, & Formally Apologizes For Trump Performance

Posted November 2, 2017

Chrisette Michele is opening up on the rough year she has endured after performing at the Donald Trump inauguration, which seemingly fans took as her supporting the now President.

The singer received a wealth of major backlash from fans and her industry peers alike and it was swift and mighty. The singer just recently revealed this week that as a result of her performing she suffered from depression, suicidal thoughts, was ultimately dropped from her label, and even suffered a miscarriage.

To add injury to insult, she was called out from followers for using another woman’s miscarriage photo in her series of social media posts where she talked about what she’s been suffering with. Well on Thursday, Chrisette visited ‘The Breakfast Club‘ where she opened up on all of it, the backlash, suicidal thoughts and offered her first public apology for her “support” of Trump.

Get into it all below.
