We’ve heard that there are a few folks slated to perform at this weekend’s inauguration but following the fiasco that Jennifer Holiday just went through for agreeing to perform and ultimately declining following death threats, the folks who ARE lined up want to keep it quiet.

One of those people is Chrisette Michele reportedly. Mumblings of her being booked for Donald Trump started over the weekend, but now there has been more alleged confirmation.

Via TJB:

Reportedly, she was first asked to perform the song “Intentional” with singers Travis Greene, Jonathan McReynolds, and Tye Tribbett. Tye and Jonathan declined the invitation. However, according to sources, Michelle agreed to sing as long as she could perform an R&B set. Chrisette has yet to comment on her attendance, but her performance is said to be “a big secret” because her team fears the backlash.

We’re not sure what Trump is offering all these black celebs to co-sign him, meet with him, and now perform at his festivities, but we are not here for any of it.

Best of luck to Chrisette following this!
