Fans of the cult classic film ‘Set It Off’ are about to get a real treat, as the film is now being adapted into a live stage play. It was just announced that ‘Set It Off: Live on Stage‘ is coming to Washington, D.C.’s legendary Warner Theatre this Spring.

The stage play will recreate the 1996 film’s story of four close friends in Los Angeles, who execute a string of bank robberies in order to make a better way of life for themselves and their families.
The film was directed by F. Gary Gray and starred Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Vivica A. Fox and Kimberly Elise and grossed over $41 million at Box Offices.

Stepping in as the role of Cleo, played by Latifah, will be fellow rapper, Da Brat. She will be staring in the show when it hits the road on March 9-11 in Atlanta and March 16-18 in DC. Get into her announcement below.
