Dawn Richard is making her promo rounds for her new album ‘Blackheart’ and stopped by ‘Sway In The Morning’ to open up on everything that has been going lately. The singer opened up on the fight between she and Aubrey O’ Day that ultimately caused Danity Kane to disband.

She says that she reached a point after nine years of dealing with Aubrey that she no longer could hold it in and says she thought they would be able to move of but wasn’t anticipating Aubrey’s response. She says she stayed silent so long because she didn’t want to get wrapped up in the drama once Aubrey and Shannon Bex began speaking out about the incident. She also opened up on her disputes she had with Diddy in the past and how those differ from the one with Aubrey.

Dawn also talked the constant plastic surgery rumors that have plagued her over the years. As it relates to the music, she says the song ‘Phoenix’ which features Aundrea Fimres, was actually a song done for DK before they disbanded which she decided to use for herself.

Check out the interview below to see what else Dawn is up to.

Dawn also stopped by ‘The Breakfast Club’ and talked more on the fight and went more into detail about exactly what led up to it. According to Dawn, the rumors that they fought over her vocals being tampered with are true.

“They told me we had the studio the next day, and they went in the day before,” she shared. “I walked in on them doing it, and I tried to confront them…I blacked out…I couldn’t believe it. It’s my fault, their fault, everybody.”

“There is no excuse for my behavior…but everybody gets pushed to a limit,” she added. “When something is poison, and you go into the studio and people are literally going behind your back and lying to you and taking your vocals and doing things that are shady, that’s foul.”
