Here For It: Diddy & Jay-Z Partner Up To Develop and Launch New App To Help Consumers Find Black Owned Businesses

Posted March 19, 2018

In a move that we think is excellent and will prove to be beneficial to all parties involved, Sean ‘Diddy/Puffy’ Combs and Jay-Z have teamed up to collaborate on a new app that will be launching in the near future.

The news comes just days after Jay officially dethroned Puffy on the Forbes Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Acts list for 2018. By no means is Puffy anywhere near less than wealthy, and with the teaming up on the app, both are sure to bring in a lot more zeros.

Puff revealed the news of the app during his recent interview with GQ, detailing the plans to develop an app that helps users find black-owned and black-friendly companies near them.

“This is not about taking away from any other community,” Combs said, who described the app as a way of championing “black excellence”.

“We’ll still go to Chinatown. We’ll still buy Gucci! But the application will make it possible for us to have an economic community. It’s about blacks gaining economic power.”

“I don’t believe in passiveness,” Combs added. “At some point there has to be some kind of fight. I feel like we’ve done a lot of marching. It’s time to start charging.

“We’re into psychological warfare. The difference is, we’re not trying to hurt nobody.”

No word on the name of the app or when consumers can expect ot see it unveiled, but we’re sure it will be soon and we are on the lookout!
