After a lengthy hiatus for winter break, Fox’s hit show Empire returned to finish out its season 2 on Wednesday (March 30). Many fans have been skeptical about the direction and writing of the show as of late but despite the mixed emotion, the show returned to its ratings glory which helped it dominate prime time TV during its first season run. Via TV By The Numbers:

The show pulled in an amazing 12.24 million viewers, boasting every single other show airing that night on prime time.

“Empire” picked up where it left off in the fall, dominating Wednesday’s ratings in its return to FOX.
