Brandy wasn’t the only music legend to be honored at Sunday’s 2016 Soul Train Awards, singer/producer, Teddy Riley also received a long overdue tribute.
Teddy received the Soul Train Legend Award for his many years of providing us some of the most timeless music of our time and being the man who helped shape the new jack swing era. After accepting his award, Teddy returned to the stage to perform and brought the house all the way down.
He brought out the likes of Guy, Bobby Brown, Doug E. Fresh, Wreckx-N-Effect, V. Bozeman and Tito Jackson, as he also performed several celebrated tracks that he produced for other artists, such as Wreckx-n-Effect’s “Rump Shaker,” Michael Jackson’s “Remember The Time” and Johnny Kemp‘s “Just Got Paid” to name a few. Get into the epic performance below.
