Iggy Azalea has had enough social media backlash this year alone to last her for a lifetime, and in a bid to stay completely out of a potential firestorm the rap siren has addressed the rumors that she would be participating in an upcoming remake of ‘Lady Marmalade‘.

As it was highly reported yesterday (October 12) British singer Rita Ora revealed in an interview with The Sun, that she has her eyes set on a big collaboration to help her break big in the US market. She revealed:

“It’s always been my goal to create another ‘Lady Marmalade.’ I’m trying to round up the troops – I think it would be me, Miley Cyrus Charli XCX – she’d be fun – and Iggy Azalea”

Well following her declaration, social media went into a frenzy on Monday pissed at the idea that Rita would dare attempt to touch the classic Labelle number that was already given the reboot treatment by Mya, Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil Kim courtesy of Missy Elliott back in 2001.

Well once Iggy got word that Rita was eyeing her for the collabo, she took to Twitter to make it clear she wants no parts of it and thinks the idea is totally bad to begin with.

Do you think Iggy is right? Should Rita scrap the entire idea? or if not who do you think should be part of the remake?
