Janet Jackson‘s new single ‘Made For Now‘ clearly was made for no. 1 as the single which just arrived at midnight last night, has risen to the top of multiple iTunes charts, and it’s accompanying video is faring just as well.

The uptempo raggaeton track which features Daddy Yankee shot all the way to no. 1 on the iTunes Pop Charts on Friday (Aug. 17) as well as no. 6 on the overall charts which is currently being dominated by the late Aretha Franklin.

Meanwhile, the Dave Meyers crafted visual has racked up over 1 million views (1,087,386 to be exact at time of posting) since it premiered after midnight as well. The single will surely gain more steam as the Pop Titan is set to perform the song for the very first time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later this evening.
