Pharrell Williams continued his promo rounds and stopped by ‘Ellen’ on Thursday with Swarovski-studded sneakers in tow and caught up with the daytime host. Pharrell talked about just being nominated for nine Billboard Music Award nominations, his love of woman and how they inspired his album ‘GIRL’.
Pharrell also praised equality for women and the gays–“Who are you telling who they can marry and who they can’t?” said Pharrell. “This is 2014.” said the super producer.
Ellen also presented Skateboard P with an exagerated and much larger version of his now famous mountain hat.
Later Pharrell performed his album cut ‘Marilyn Monroe’ but the most endearing moment of the interview is when he helped Ellen surprise the students at the Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences with a $50,000 check. Check out all the heart warming moment, performance and interview below.
