Saturday night was the premiere of CNN’s new ‘The Van Jones Show,’ and as previously reported, his first guest was none other than Jay-Z.
During his visit, Hov addressed the current #TimesUp and #MeToo movements, his relationship with his daughter Blue Ivy and his new born twins. As expected, the current state of politics and Donald Trump were also discussed, specifically his recent “shit hole” comments regarding Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations.
“It’s disappointing and it’s hurtful,” he said. “Everyone feels anger, but after the anger, it’s really hurtful, because you’re looking down on a whole population of people and you’re so misinformed because these places have beautiful people and beautiful everything. This is the leader of the free world speaking like this. But on the other side, this has been going on. This is how people talk behind closed doors.”
“You don’t take care of the problem,” he said. “You don’t take the trash out. You keep spraying whatever over it to make it acceptable. As those things grow, you create a superbug. Then now we have Donald Trump, the superbug.”
He also dished on Meek Mill, becoming a sports agent, working through his adultry in his marriage with Beyonce, and much more! Get into the full interview clip below.
On Sunday morning, Trump responded…and we’re not interested, but get in below.

Our economy is better than it has been in many decades. Businesses are coming back to America like never before. Chrysler, as an example, is leaving Mexico and coming back to the USA. Unemployment is nearing record lows. We are on the right track!
