We all know that Nene Leakes is the queen of “so nasty, and so rude” so it makes perfect sense that her former ‘Celebrity Apprentice‘ boss Donald Trump reached out to her to be part of his presidential campaign, but she declined.

The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ star sat down alongside other past Apprentice contestants this week on Chelsea Handler‘s Netflix talk show to discuss their time on the reality competition show. She revealed that his team did indeed try to recruit her to get black voters interested to help gain supporters by speaking or appearing at various events as part of his team.

“They did. They reached out to me. They sent me an email and asked me to, I think, speak or something at one of his rallies and I didn’t… No [I don’t want to represent him],” she said, when it was pointed out to her that Omarosa Manigault, who appeared on The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice, was recently appointed as his director of African-American outreach.

She also reveals why she ended up walking away from the big title during her time on the show, after facing off with Star Jones, La Toya Jackson and others for weeks. Get into it below.
