Despite getting negative feedback at times for what some have deemed raping gay culture, and after being checked by Andy Cohen for their sometimes gay bashing tendencies (see Kim Fields’ husband), it appears a certain Real Housewives of Atlanta star is set to be honored for her work in the LGBT community.

According to reports, Nene Leakes will attend The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and is being honored as one of their prestigious guests. Via Bravo:

The Real Housewives of Atlanta actress will be joining author and former TV host Melissa Harris-Perry as guests of The Washington Blade at this year’s WHCD. The D.C.-based LGBT publication chose NeNe and Melissa because of their work as “prominent LGBT allies,” according to an article announcing their attendance. “Both of these women have been allies to the LGBT community in different ways and the Blade is happy to thank them for their visibility by inviting them to join our table at the White House Correspondents Dinner,” Blade editor Kevin Naff said in the report.

NeNe will be in good company at this year’s WHCD. Many other celebs are expected to attend, including Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kendall Jenner, and Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, Deadline reports. Larry Wilmore, the host ofThe Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on Comedy Central will serve as this year’s entertainer.

The 2016 WHCD kicks off with the arrivals on Saturday, April 30 at 6/5c on C-SPAN.
