Although it was confirmed weeks ago that all the ladies of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ would be returning for season 7, now new details surrounding the cast have been revealed. As we previously reported, in addition to Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Nene Leakes returning, the show has two new additions  Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan. 

Today however there are new tidbits of info including that Demetria who was alleged to be joining in a “friend of Housewives” capacity will actually be getting a peach and standing in the opening credits with the ladies as a full time HW. In addition, news that may or may not come as a surprise to long time watchers. Its also been announced that this will be Nene’s final season. According to US Weekly:

Veteran Housewife NeNe Leakes, too, will be making a comeback for one final season; the budding actress and performer’s contract is up after season seven, one source explains.

Leakes will have new pals to socialize with before packing her bags. According to the insider, singer/actress McKinney has officially signed on to be a full-time Housewife. TV and radio personality Jordan — who has appeared on the U.S. version of Deal or No Deal — will have a supporting role.

Newbies may change up the dynamic, but tensions are still high between some of the costars. Producers are apparently scrambling to make pot-stirrer Moore get along with the other women. As fans know all too well, Moore got into a vicious brawl with castmate Williams during the taping of their Bravo reunion back in March. Leakes took to her personal website in April to defend Williams while noting that she doesn’t “condone violence.”

If you aren’t familiar with Demetria, she stars on Tyler Perry’s ‘House of Payne’ and also is a singer. You may already be familiar with Claudia who has been on VH1’s ‘Tiny Tonight’ and ‘Celebrity Apprentice’. Check both of them out below including Demetria’s brand new single!
