Nicki Minaj Calls Foul on ‘Queen’ Final Sales Total After Losing No.1 Spot To Travis Scott, Blames Spotify, Gender Bias, Blackballing For Her Sabotaged Sales

Posted August 19, 2018

Nicki Minaj may have “Good Form” but she certainly doesn’t have “Good Sportsmanship” after the announcement that her album ‘Queen‘ came in as the no. 2 album in the country following Travis Scott.

Scott’s album ‘Astroworld sold 205,000 equivalent units for it’s second week on the chart, with 78,000 from traditional sales. ‘Queen’ however sold 185,000 units—78,000 were from traditional sales

Nicki has not taken the news well and has spent a great deal of time on social media the past 48 hours demanding a recount, griping with Spotify and Travis for inflating his numbers, as well as her label, and all those she feels are responsible for “sabotaging” her sales. She accused Travis of packaging tour bundles with his album sales and including a meet and greet with Kylie Jenner and their baby, as a tactic to get the sales boosted.

Get into her rants below.

She then took aim at Spotify…

Meanwhile, billboard has responded with the following..

Queen launches with 185,000 equivalent album units earned, of which 78,000 were in traditional album sales. Queen, like Astroworld, saw its sales bolstered by an array of merchandise/album bundles sold via Minaj’s official website. Queen also benefits from sales generated by a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with her upcoming co-headlining tour with Future.

Sigh…Nicki promises to continue the conversation on the next edition of her ‘Queen Radio’ series this week.
