Not So Fast: Victoria Bechkam Shuts Down Reported Spice Girls Reunion Tour Talk “I’m NOT Going On Tour, The Girls Aren’t Going on Tour”

Posted February 12, 2018

Fans who were getting excited of news of the Spice Girls reunion were just delivered a shocking blow, as despite the fact that the reported tour was confirmed, member Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice, has just shut that all the way down.

The rumors started just a week ago, when all five original members including Posh, Geri “Ginger” Halliwell, Emma “Baby” Bunton, Melanie “Sports” Chisolm and Melanie “Scary” Brown reunited at Halliwell’s home in London. They were spotted with their manager, and shared the snaps on Instagram which instantly caused speculation. The image was later followed up with a reported joint statement from the group.

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

Well Posh was spotted at NYFW this weekend and clarified that she, nor the girls are hitting the road for a reunion tour.

“I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour,” she told Vogue, while promoting her New York Fashion Week fall/winter collection, unveiled Sunday.  “It was really, really, really lovely. … But this (fashion design) is what I do now.”

The girls previously reunited for a tour in 2008, as well as a 2012 performance at the London Olympics’ closing ceremony. As far as what 2018 and beyond holds, looks like fans will have to just wait and see.
