What was already slated to be an all star lineup has just become even more action packed, as Essence Festival 2016 has just announced a few more A list performers to its heavy three day lineup.
Following the announcements of performers such as Ciara, Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey, Maxwell and more, on Wednesday, April 20 it was confirmed that even more star power is coming to New Orleans.

Puff Daddy & The Family and Common were added to the official lineup, which means if you aren’t able to see them at the Bad Boy reunion concert in May, no worries, you might have another chance at Essence.
The annual fest is set to go down July 1-3 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Friday’s festivities kick off with Maxwell, New Edition, Babyface, Tyrese, and Faith Evans on the Mainstage.
Saturday’s will feature appearances from Mariah Carey, Common, Charlie Wilson, Jeremih, and Estelle, while the intimate Superlounges include Doug E. Fresh, Tink, Jidenna, St. Beauty, and Wizkid, among others.
It all caps off on Sunday, with performances from Kendrick Lamar, Puff Daddy & The Family, Ciara, and Andra Day. Meanwhile, MC Lyte, DeJ Loaf, Leon Bridges, Kehlani, and BJ the Chicago Kid will play the Superlounges.
