“Hit hard like sledge-hammers, b**** with that platinum grammar
I am a diamond cluster hustler, queen b***, supreme b***”

Over 20 years since her debut album ‘Hardcore‘ arrived and shook up the industry, Hip Hop royalty, Lil’ Kim sees herself back on the charts for the album which inspired a legion of female hip hop artist and fans alike.

The album was released on November 12, 1996, but today (August 14, 2018) sees the album return to the top ten of the iTunes charts as well as other streaming and downloading services.

The resurgence comes just months before Kim is set to release her new album, and first since 2005’s critically acclaimed ‘The Naked Truth’ and days after the release of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Queen’ which has sparked some controversy following the use of a legendary sample of The Notorious B.I.G. that Kim herself later did.

Fans and haters have been streaming and purchasing the Kim catalog so much that it shot to no. 15 as of last night on the Hip Hop charts, and as of today was fluctuating within the top 10. Kim took to social media to thank her fans.
