Janet

Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, all these ladies have had or are set to call Las Vegas their home for their respective residencies and now according to a report two more legendary divas are set to join this list.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Diana Ross is set to kick off her mini residency at the Venetian and following her will be none other than Janet Jackson.

“The Supremes superstar singer Diana Ross has inked April dates for the first nine performances of her new mini-residency contract at the Venetian. Soon to follow in this new entertainment lineup set for the former “Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular” theater will be Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie and Ricky Martin…” reports the outlet.

The residency will be called The Essential Diana Ross: Some Memories Never Fade” and tickets go on sale Friday for three weekends of shows April 1, 3-4, 7-8, 10-11, 15 and 17-18. She will include songs from her remarkable, nearly five-decade career that made music-history milestones and a significant contribution to pop culture music of the 20th century. She’s promising Motown classics “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” to pop favorites “I’m Coming Out” and hits including “Endless Love.”

As far as Janet no official confirmation has come from her or her team on the few dates she will be doing however with long standing talk of her long awaited and highly anticipated new album on the way, we think a mini residency coupled with a full world tour would be highly welcomed by her millions of fans. As far as new music, we certainly hope a new single hits us before Spring, everyone is ready for the return of Janet!
