It seems like ‘R&B Divas: Atlanta’ may be going through a musical chairs as far as the cast goes. We told you weeks ago about the rumors that the show was set to be cancelled, then cast member Syleena Johnson told us exclusively that these rumors were not true. Then just last week rumors started circulating yet again that the show’s fate was in danger after former cast mate and executive producer Nicci Gilbert confirmed the news via her website.

Well now one of the show’s producers Phil Thorton has spoken out about the rumors and confirms that although none of the ladies contracts have been renewed, the show itself may indeed be coming back.

“‘R&B Divas: Atlanta’ has not been cancelled. There has been no definitive decision made by the network.Yeah, contracts have expired. We have not renewed any of the cast contracts. That’s no secret. We’re in discussions now, but the show is absolutely not cancelled. I was on the phone with the network today and the show is absolutely not cancelled.” he revealed exclusively to TheJasmineBrand.com

So it looks like TV One is looking to revamp the show with a set of new ladies. Personally we don’t think that’s such a bad decision but with rumors that Keke was set to not return due to her landing an alleged spin off, we highly suggest producers keep the shows last two original divas Syleena and Monifah. From there we can clean house and start fresh.

What do you think about the possibility of a new R&B Divas cast? In the meantime ‘R&B Divas: LA’ is set to return on Feb 11, if you missed the teaser trailer check it out HERE
