With new albums and singles out simultaneously, it looks like for the next few months, the Billboard and iTunes charts will be the battle field for friendly competitors, Beyonce and Rihanna.

Since arriving on digital platforms last Saturday, Beyonce’s album Lemonade and most of its accompanying material have taken over most of the iTunes singles charts, meanwhile the album just debuted at number one on Billboard hours ago.

Well now just hours after its arrival, Rihanna’s new Calvin Harris assisted single “This Is What You Came For” has now knocked Bey’s controversial single, “Formation” out of the top spot of the iTunes singles chart.

The song is not pulled from Rih’s current album Anti, but its still a big win for her. Although this isn’t the pairs first time scoring chart success, as she and Harris previously teamed up for their massive hits “We Found Love,”  and “Where Have You Been” which appeared on her Talk That Talk album.

No worries for Bey though, she currently hold spots 2, 5, 6 & 7 respectively on the iTunes top singles charts. Kudos to both ladies!
