The rumor mill has been buzzing of talks of a possible reunion for the 90’s iconic show ‘Friends’. There have been mumblings for years of a possible reboot or spin off movie similar to how ‘Sex And The City’ did after their exit from television.

It is alleged that all cast members Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt Leblanc would be up for a reunion but the shows biggest star Jennifer Aniston has been the most reluctant to sign on.

However, OK! Magazine is now reporting that Aniston is close to agreeing to join the gang in a reunion. According to the  unconfirmed source:

‘Since the show ended in 2004 it’s been rare for all six of them to appear in public together. But with next year’s 20th anniversary [of the show’s launch] it will be unavoidable for them to do something together,’

The source added: ‘It’s the perfect excuse to talk seriously about a new project.’

‘It’s no secret the whole project will be pinned on Jennifer, who’s incredibly busy with her movie career.’

‘But she’s been slowly convinced that a reunion could be a good thing.’

‘Courteney has been telling Jennifer that she and Matthew Perry have still got that amazing chemistry after shooting just a few scenes with him guest starring on her TV show ‘Cougar Town’. It was as though no time has passed at all.’

“Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman last year said, however, there is no plans for a new ‘Friends’ show–despite numerous rumors saying otherwise. Kauffman told E! Online in April 2013:

“I’m going to clear this up—it’s not happening!”

It is speculated that this is only contingent on whether Jennifer will return or not. However during a visit to ‘Ellen’ back in May 2013 Aniston danced around the issue but suggested that she wouldn’t be opposed to the opportunity.

Would you want to see a ‘Friends‘ reunion episode or movie?
