It looks like R&B legend Anita Baker has decided to call it quits on music, and that’s not it, we won’t even be seeing her hit the road as she has just officially announced her retirement.

Back in 2012, she released a cover of Tyrese’s “Lately” and follow-up single “Sweetest Dreams” from her then titled album ‘Only Forever,’ however the album never saw the light of day.

Well just days ago the singer took to Twitter to reveal that although music is still her first love, she is taking an extended break and will be apparently be spending her spare time on the beach.

Well at least we have tons of music to keep us vexed! Here’s hoping that she changes her mind, at least about touring.
