Lil Mama is getting a little backlash from Nicki Minaj fans after she attempted to defend Queen Bee of rap, Lil Kim after Nicki took a slight jab at her in her new song.
It started last week when Nicki dropped a new track titled ‘The Pinkprint Freestyle‘ where she basically gets cocky, throws a little shade by trying to discredit Kim’s influence, meanwhile giving props to Foxy Brown.
She references how she is worth millions while other females are only worth a few hundred thousand. More specifically, she spits the line “Like I ain’t make bitches rock pink hair at some point” which clearly is a jab at Kim who is known for being the original rap chick to rock colorful wigs and styles in the 90’s.
Well, enter Lil Mama who was not here for Nicki’s subtle Kim shade. The rapper addressed it by posting a vintage snap of Kim via Instagram on Monday (Sep 12) with the very direct caption:
“Like @lilkimthequeenbee ain’t make bitches wanna rock pink hair at some point like… @misahylton what’s that shit you say #respectthearchitect BITCH! ?”
Of course, this led to Nicki fans coming for Mama all in her comments, which you can view above by clicking the image.
Meanwhile, Kim has yet to respond and probably won’t, as she is busy on the current ‘Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour’ which is trekking across the US.
