This weekend Kanye West headlined the Glastonbury Festival and the hip hop titan delivered a stellar set complete with all his hits despite the fact that there was an online petition started months ago calling for him to be dropped from the bill and be replaced by a rock band. The rapper labelled the petition “an insult to music fans all over the world” and carried on with plans to perform.
Well it looks like one of those folks who signed the petition was not happy that Yeezy stayed on the bill, so he decided to bring a prop to the show to show his frustration. During the Friday night set, the concert goer waved around a flag with images of Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian from her infamous sex tape with Ray J. Not only that, the flag had the lyrics ” Go head girl go head get down” from Kanye’s song ‘Gold Digger’ stretched across it. Ouch!
As if that weren’t enough, Yeezy had his stage invaded by an uninvited guest. His set was briefly interrupted by a stage invasion by British comedian and prankster Lee Nelson.
The crasher, real name Simon Brodkin, wrote on Twitter: “Some people were saying Kanye shouldn’t headline Glastonbury so I thought I’d give him a hand.”
Following his crashing he was swiftly bundled off stage by a security guard and West resumed his song Black Skinhead. Check out the footage below.
