Solange Knowles has always been the rebel in her family, and with new footage released from TMZ it appears she is also the fighter in the clan. Taken from surveillance video in an elevator in The Standard Hotel in New York at last week’s Met Gala, Solo is seen entering an elevator with her sister Beyonce and brother in law Jay Z, seemingly all is well until the elevator doors close.

Solange whirlwinds at Jay, physically attacking him with her hands and even kicks him. Solange is later restrained by Bey’s bodyguard Julius, all while Bey stands and watches and intervening only after the kick is delivered to her hubby. Following the video leak, The Standard Hotel (where the incident took place) released a statement regarding their security breach:

“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests,” the hotel said in a statement obtained by E! News. “We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”

E! News reports that after the fight the trio stayed at the hotel for a mere 45 minutes before exiting the bash. According to an eyewitness, Solange looked very upset on her way out and she was being barricaded by security to keep her away from Jay Z. She then entered a car with her sister, while Hov was taken to a different SUV.
