As we told you a few weeks ago, FOX’s hit show ‘Empire‘ is set to return this fall for its second season but today the official premiere date was announced. Team Empire can breathe a sigh of relief when the hit show returns Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m on Fox.
The show’s star Taraji P. Henson took to Twitter to make the announcement after being quizzed by a fan. The shows producers later confirmed the news as well.

Season 2 is set to have even more action and A list appearances than season 1 with Lenny Kravitz, Patti Labelle, Chris Rock, Denzel Washington and more confirmed to be coming on board. Lil Kim, Brandy and a host of other stars are also in talks to appear. Roll on September!
