MyaRidin

For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we are taking it back to 2007 with one of our fave R&B vixens, DC native Mya.

That year the singer planned to release her fourth studio album titled ‘Liberation’ and after kicking off the album campaign with the Lil Wayne assisted ‘Lock You Down’ as the first single, the singer got a little more spicy on the second single ‘Ridin‘.

The Tricky Stewart and Ester Dean penned track showed a more aggressive side of the singer as she sang about her cheating lover and keeping tabs on his extracurricular activities which she said was inspired by real events that happened in her own life.

Although the ‘Liberation’ album never dropped in the U.S. it was heard by her hardcore fans and Ridin was a prelude to what was sure to be a hot album. Get into the saucy ballad below.
