In a move that no one saw coming, actress/singer, Tisha Campbell-Martin and husband, Duane Martin have announced that after 22 years of marriage and 27 together overall, they are divorcing. The news came on Thursday via TMZ and Tisha released an official statement.
Tisha, who played Martin Lawrence‘s wife in the ’90s hit, filed divorce docs in L.A. Thursday against her husband, Duane Martin. The two got hitched in 1996 and have two sons together, Ezekiel and Xen.
Tisha tells TMZ, “After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce. It’s an emotional time and I graciously ask for privacy for me, our children and the rest of our family.”
Just weeks ago, Tisha reconciled with the other Martin in her life, Martin Lawrence after over 20 years since their show ‘Martin’ was cancelled and Tisha reportedly made claims of sexual harassment against him back then.
The two have now made amends and are working on the highly anticipated ‘Martin’ reboot. No word if the reconciliation played a part in the divorce decision.
