For months we’ve been hearing about Lee Daniels new Empire spin off, and today we got the official trailer for it.

FOX held their annual up front event in New York on Monday, May 16 where they previewed and showcased some of their new programming set to air on the network. One of those shows was Star, the music themed drama that centers around three young women in Atlanta, Georgia, who form a girl group and are forced to navigate the ever-demanding music business.

The show stars Queen Latifah, Lenny Kravitz, Benjamin Bratt and newcomers Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady. Its tentative premiere is set for 2017, but get into the trailer until then.
