It looks like all the fans of the ‘Golden Globe’ winning series, ‘Atlanta‘ will be waiting quite some time for the new season. Season one of the show just ended a few weeks ago, after becoming one of the highest rated shows on FX and received tons of critical acclaim (including the Globes).
Well according to reports, we won’t be seeing a season 2 in 2017. That’s right, fans (including myself) will have to hold out until 2018 to see the new season. According to Deadline:
The network announced at TCA this morning that the acclaimed comedy will not air in 2017, with Season 2 slated for 2018 due to Glover’s production schedule.
Glover, of course, has a big movie commitment, playing“Lando’s a big deal to me,” he said at the Golden Globes on Sunday. “It was literally the first toy I ever got.”
At the Globes, Glover landed two awards as Atlanta won best comedy series and he was named best actor in a comedy series.
How can you follow up such a great first season and so much great feedback from fans, with a delay, and over a year at that. Sigh, well here’s to 2018, one year closer to Trump being out of office.
