Sunday night, the 2021 American Music Awards will air on ABC, and while fans can expect performances from the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, and hosting duties to be held by Cardi B, it’s one long-overdue reunion performance that has us jumping out of our seats.
New Edition is set to reunite and perform with all six members of the quintet including Ricky Bell, Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant. The supergroup will hit the stage for the first time as all six members in several years.
This will be their first group performance at the AMA’s since they last performed at the annual ceremony in 1997, followed by the release of their double-platinum 1996 album, ‘Home Again.’
NE is set to be joined by fellow Boston-bred band, New Kids on The Block for the performance as confirmed by ABC with the release of a new teaser Sunday’s show.

This will be NE’s first major performance as they prepare to kick off their 2022 tour and Las Vegas residency.

Other AMA performers include Carrie Underwood, Tyler, the Creator, Bad Bunny, and more when it airs on ABC on Sunday, November 21, at 8 p.m. EST.
