Ariana Grande‘s single ‘Thank U, Next‘ became the singers first no. 1 Billboard hit last month, and now its accompanying video is taking the world by storm as well.
The visual debuted and set social media ablaze and the stats continue to grow less than a week since it was released according to Billboard.
The singer’s latest stat indicates that she now holds the record for biggest music video debut in YouTube history, earning 55.4 million views in its first 24 hours. YouTube also confirmed that “thank u, next” is the fastest video to earn 100 million views, reaching the number just four days after its release.
As we previously reported, at its peak, Grande had 829,000 viewers watching her rom-com homage at the same time. With these mind-blowing numbers, “thank u, next” dethrones BTS’ “Idol” as the most-viewed music video in 24 hours.
Ariana took to social media to acknowledge the feat and thank fans for making the video a success.
