Ashanti is finally clapping back at Irv Gotti after a string of insulting interviews and jabs aimed at his former protege.
The singer has jumped on the remix to Diddy’s Bryson Tiller-assisted single ‘Gotta Move On,’ and for the first time, she is addressing Gotti’s comments regarding their alleged relationship during her time with Gotti’s Murda Inc Records.
“You thought that you could have her on the weekends / Now you mad ’cause I told you I was leaving / I’m gone, I’m done”
“It’s giving obsessed, it’s giving me stressed, it’s giving me pressed, but it’s been 20 years / Please say less … Yeah, you gotta move on.”

Fans who are in the loop know that Irv has been exposing the intimate details and getting backlash for detailing his alleged relationship with Ashanti in recent interviews, as part of the promotion of and during his Murder Inc. documentary, and most notably during his ‘Drink Champs’ this summer.
Gott provided specific details revealing that they were together “every day for like two years” and that he came up with her hit “Happy” after they had sexual relations.
He also revealed that they never went public with their relationship b/c he was married at the time and that Ashanti didn’t want to appear to be a homewrecker or like she was getting special treatment at the label.
Ashanti and Irv’s relationship has been strained for years and she has refused to appear on the Murder Inc. documentary, as well as a planned Murder Inc. reunion tour that Gotti says he approached her about. The new remix is the first time that the singer has addressed him.
