Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds returned to the stage on Friday night for the fifth stop of ‘The Songstress Tour’ headlined by Anita Baker.
The R&B crooner sent social media into a frenzy earlier this week when he revealed on Wednesday that he was not allowed to perform during the tour’s fourth stop in Newark, NJ per Ms. Baker and her team.
Babyface took to Instagram to apologize to his fans as we previously told you, revealing that he and his band were ready to perform but were advised not to which left many paying fans in the audience upset.
Following his post, fans, and fellow industry peers flooded his comments and social media to defend the singer and address Ms. Baker and her history of alleged diva behavior as we told you HERE.
Well, on Friday it appears things were back to normal as Babyface took to IG again to share a snap of himself alongside his band revealing that they were set to take the stage at the Long Island, NY show at the UBS Arena.
He also shared footage of the performance in his IG story on Friday night. Still no word from Ms. Baker or her team on what exactly transpired earlier this week–but here’s to hoping the rest of the tour goes on without any more drama.
