Culture’s biggest night is upon us!
The 2023 BET Awards are going down this Sunday, June 25 and as expected the show will be the must-see event of the summer.
BET has just released a slew of more performers who are set to take the stage, as well as a major performance as part of the highly-anticipated Tina Turner tribute.
Patti LaBelle has been named as a performer as part of the tribute to Turner, although it’s not clear if she will be the sole performer or if other artists will join her.
LaBelle will honor the incomparable Queen of Rock ‘N’ Roll, showcasing her incredible talent and capturing the essence of Turner’s unparalleled legacy in a performance that promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.

That’s not all! The network also announced that Busta Rhymes will be the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. According to the press release:
The coveted award commemorates industry pioneers who have powerfully shifted culture and the entertainment industry. Bia, Coi Leray, M.O.P., Rah Digga, Scarlip, Spice, Supercat, Swizz Beatz, and more surprise guests will take the stage to celebrate Busta Rhymes and his 30-plus-year musical legacy.
The celebration of Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary will also continue as 69 Boyz, Big Daddy Kane, Chief Keef, Dem Franchize Boyz, DJ Unk, D-Nice, E-40, EPMD, Fabolous, Fast Life Yungstaz & Easton (F.L.Y.), Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Jeezy, Kid ‘N Play, MC Lyte, Percy “Master P” Miller, Redman, Remy Ma, Soulja Boy, Styles P, The Sugarhill Gang, Trick Daddy, Trina, Tyga, Uncle Luke, Warren G, YG, Ying Yang Twins, Yo-Yo and more will hit the stage to deliver a wide array of Hip Hop classics.
Also joining the festivities are nominees Coco Jones, Ice Spice, GloRilla, Latto, Doechii, Lil Uzi Vert, Mad Lion, and more. Kaliii and nominee Lola Brooke will perform on the BET Amplified stage.
The pre-show/red carpet will be emceed by Terrence J, Pretty Vee, and Big Lez and will air on BET at 6 PM ET/ PT, with performances by Armani White, Big Boss Vette, Crime Mob, Finesse2tymes, Freeway, Libianca, NLE Choppa, Rae Sremmurd, and more.
