Yonce’ all up in their mouthes like liquor!
Beyonce is just days away from the release of her highly-anticipated ‘Cowboy Carter’ album, and it was just announced that she will be receiving a major honor just days after the release.
Beyonce will receive the Innovator Award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards hosted by Ludacris, and her attendance has been officially confirmed.
iHeart announced the news on Thursday (Mar. 21) and released a statement on why Queen Bey is this year’s recipient.
There are few artists in the course of history who have taken creative risks, successfully transformed their music and influenced pop culture on the level that Beyoncé has. Throughout the years, this unstoppable icon has created music that has topped the charts across multiple formats, while also architecting groundbreaking tours, including last year’s “Renaissance World Tour” which became the highest-grossing tour in history for both an R&B artist and a Black female artist. Her recent release of “Texas Hold ‘Em” from her upcoming Cowboy Carter album (due out March 29th) is officially the first song in music history to simultaneously chart across US Pop, Hot AC, AC, Country, Rhythmic, Urban, R&B and Triple A radio formats. It is also the first song this year to reach No. 1 in the US and globally on all major sales/streaming platforms, also making her the first Black female artist to reach No. 1 on the Hot 100 with a Country song. In addition to her music accolades, Beyoncé’s philanthropic efforts has helped communities around the world. All this makes Queen Bey the true definition of the modern-day artist innovator.
In addition to Bey being honored, performers include Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Tate McRae, and more. Plus, the show will feature a special musical tribute to the 2024 iHeartRadio Icon Award Recipient: Cher.
The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, April 1st from 8pm-10pm ET live/PT tape-delayed on FOX. The event will also be broadcast on iHeartRadio stations nationwide and on the free iHeartRadio app.
Elsewhere in Bey news, Bey’s publicist (and the Beyhive) are clapping back at Erykah Badu over some subtle shade thrown at Bey this week.
After Bey posted her new album art earlier this week rocking braids with beaded bangs, Erykah took to social media resharing the images suggesting that Bey is copying her style.

Well, the Beyhive was not here for it and took to social to read Erykah her rights, and Bey’s longtime publicist Yvette Noel-Schure came to her defense against Badu.
Noel-Schure took to Instagram with a montage of photos including from back in the Destiny’s Child days, showing Bey rocking all kinds of braided styles from childhood. “She slays. She slays. Now. Then. Always. act ii COWBOY CARTER 3.29 #criticswithoutcredentials,” she captioned the post.

Following the post, and a slew of Beyhive attacks, Erykah jokingly took back to social media asking Bey’s husband, Jay-Z to come to her defense: “To Jay Z . Say somethin Jay. You gone let this woman and these bees do this to me ??””

As expected, no word from Bey or Jay.
