Brandy‘s groundbreaking album ‘Full Moon‘ (and my fave album of all time) turned 19 years old this week, and the singer joined fans in celebrating the masterpiece that it is.
The album which was released March 5, 2002, was primarily produced by Rodney Jerkins and his Darkchild production team including the late LaShawn Daniels.
The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and at number two on the Billboard 200, selling approximately 156,000 copies in its first week of release, and was later certified platinum by the RIAA.
The album spawned three singles–‘What About Us?‘, ‘Full Moon’ and the fan fave, ‘He Is.’ The project became Brandy’s highest-charting album at the time, earning her two Grammy nominations including Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 45th Annual Grammy’s.
Fans of the vocal bible took to social media to share their fave songs from the album, and moments from that era. The singer joined in on the fun.
