Cardi B just dropped her new single on Friday, and the Hip Hop Queen is on the promo trail and stopped by New York’s Hot 97 to dish with Nessa on the new music, and more.
During her sit down, Cardi revealed that she is working diligently on the long-awaited sophomore album which will be the follow-up to ‘Invasion of Privacy.’
The femcee dished on the long-reported collaboration she wants to do with Lil Kim and revealed why she’s taking her time to get it right.
“I want Lil Kim on my album. I do have a song that I think ‘Ah, she’ll be good for this.’ But I’m also debating on another song…that I want her on this one too. What I really want to do is an Aunt Dot with her. I want the song I do with her to be a super great comeback. I don’t want to just put her on my album on a song and it’s like ‘oh yeah, she has a Lil Kim feature.’ I want this to be her…moment.”
As huge fans of both Kim and Cardi, we’ve been here for this link-up, especially if it consists of an ‘Aunt Dot’ remake.
