Beyonce set the world on fire with the release of her new album ‘Renaissance‘ on July 29, and now the official numbers for the project are in.
The album which serves as the singer’s seventh solo studio album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 332,000 equivalent album units, of which album sales comprise 190,000.
The set also earned the biggest sales week by a woman in 2022 and the second-largest week of the year so far. It also logs the largest streaming week for an album by a woman in 2022, with 179.06 million.
Her newest No. 1 also gives her a new record as all seven of her solo studio projects have debuted at No. 1.
As if that weren’t enough, the album’s first single ‘Break My Soul’ has also snagged the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
The song marks the singer’s eighth solo No.1 single on the charts. The track, which debuted at No. 15 six weeks earlier jumped to the No.6 spot last week and is now No.1.
