Dawn Richard is finally speaking out regarding the breakup of Danity Kane and the alleged events that led up to it. We previously showed you the joint statement released by Shannon Bex and Aubrey O’ Day where the two allege that out of nowhere, Dawn hit Aubrey with a closed fist during a business meeting.
The two further blamed Dawn and her dark side for the demise of the recently reformed group. If you missed their full statement check it out HERE. Now Dawn herself is speaking out and alleges that the girls have blocked her from all their social media accounts, which is why she was unable to issue a statement earlier and theirs was done through the group’s website.
Dawn insist that she attempted to move forward even after the story leaked and wanted to handle things internally but that they did not have the chance to do so because Aubrey and Dawn were so quick to react. It’s quite interesting and worth noting that in her statement Dawn never actually denied the allegation that she hit Aubrey, and stating that she certain choices made she isn’t proud of seemingly is an admission of guilt. Dear Danity Kane fans, I am sorry to everyone that this news has to come out. You’re worth more. Certain choices were made that I am not proud of. However, I will not be disrespected. Once again, I am sorry to the fans as this should have been handled privately not publicly. I continued to work with both parties to try to release the album even when the original story was leaked without anyone being consulted. I have been unable to release my statement via Danity Kane social media because my access to all Danity Kane social media pages has been blocked by DK members. This forces me to make my statement on my personal page. This could have all been handled privately; however, certain parties chose to make this public before it could be rectified. I am not justifying my actions. I am saying this was all done before any changes or conversations could even be had.
Dawn has also been posting cryptic messages on her Twitter and Instagram however these messages are obviously pertaining to the current drama. Interestingly enough, one of her posts was a screenshot from DK member Aundrea Fimbres who departed the group earlier this spring due to her pregnancy and plans to wed. Is it safe to say that Dawn was alluding that Aundrea is siding with her ?
