It’s been just a week since the passing of DMX and on Friday, a brand new song from the legend featuring French Montana and Swizz Beatz made its way online.

The Swizz produced track titled ‘Been to War‘ comes off the “Godfather of Harlem” series soundtrack and is the first posthumous release from X.

There has also been an update on DMX’s memorial plans.

According to reports, the event will be held on Saturday, April 24, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, X’s former manager, Steve Rifkind has confirmed.

Details are still being figured out, including ticketing and how many people will be allowed inside the 17,000-seat arena, which will have limited capacity due to COVID.

The following day on Sunday (April 25), DMX’s family and close friends will celebrate his life at a private funeral service at a church in the New York City area.
