Superbowl LVI scored a major victory on Sunday, and that may have come thanks to the highly-anticipated first-ever All Hip-Hop Halftime Show.
While many viewers tuned in for the game–it was certainly the hype of Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg performing alongside surprise guests, 50 Cent and Anderson. Paak–that helped get eyes and bodies tuned in.
In fact, so many people watched the game and Halftime show that the ratings bested last year’s game and Halftime show.
Super Bowl LVI averaged 112.3 million viewers across TV and streaming, according to NBC. That number was up from last year’s Super Bowl, which averaged roughly 96.4 million viewers across CBS and streaming. It’s a fitting end to a season of viewership resurgence, with ratings for the regular season up roughly 10% overall from last year at 17.1 million viewers per game on average.

That’s not all! As expected, all the acts saw a major sales and streaming increase across multiple platforms including iTunes. Snoop took to IG to share a snap of just some of their music re-entering the charts.
