After their visit to “Sherri” this week to promote their new podcast “ReLiving Single,” Erika Alexander and Kim Coles continued their promotional tour with an emotional appearance on “The Breakfast Club.”
During their conversation, the ladies discussed the podcast as well as their fond memories from “Living Single.” However, they also opened up about the challenges they faced during the show’s run and with their network.
They detailed the well-known hurdles, including pay inequities, and other struggles as a black sitcom. Emotions ran high when they discussed the firing of their co-star, T.C. Carson.
Fans of the series will remember that T.C. Carson, who played Kyle Barker, was abruptly let go from the show, leaving both fans and his co-stars in shock.
In a recent interview, T.C. explained that he was fired after speaking out against Warner Bros. for prioritizing “Friends” over “Living Single.”
During their interview, Kim and Erika addressed this situation, revealing that T.C. felt unsupported by his co-stars, who he had hoped would fight for him. The ladies shared their individual reactions to the firing and how they learned about it.
Erika became emotional as she expressed that, although she personally advocated for him, the cast as a whole could have done more.
Additionally, they discussed the potential reboot of “Living Single” and more topics related to the show.
