Ahead of her big televised interview with ‘The View’ later this week, Wendy Williams has just scored a major win on the road to her freedom!
According to various sources including TMZ, the former daytime diva was examined by a psychiatrist Monday and was tested for her mental capacity.
Reportedly, Wendy passed with flying colors, and her mental state is intact, despite previous claims from her guardian.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Wendy scored 10 out of 10 on a psych exam, called a “capacity test.” She was asked 10 questions to determine if she was alert and oriented, and she answered every one correctly.
TMZ broke the story … Wendy went to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City Monday where a psychiatrist spent time with her.
The results of the test are radically different from the assessment of the guardian, who has filed legal docs saying her condition is getting worse, not better. Wendy was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a diagnosis she disputes. She was not examined Monday to determine if she has been misdiagnosed.

Wendy’s results will reportedly be shared with the judge in her guardianship case for review.
In the meantime, Wendy’s appearance on ‘The View’ which was initially reported to be in-person, will now be a phone interview, along with Ginalisa Monterroso airing on the Friday, March 14 episode.
Stay tuned.
