Rapper/Actor Ice Cube was set to appear on ‘Good Morning America‘ today to promote his new film ‘The High Note‘ which is being released tomorrow.
However, due to frustration over the recent and ongoing events of Police officers murdering black civilians, specifically George Floyd in Minnesota, Cube decided to back out of his appearance.
The rapper took to Twitter to explain why he choose not to do the interview and even responded to a follower who suggested that he could have used the interview to bring more awareness to the matter.
I apologize to everyone expecting to see me on Good Morning America today, but after the events in Minnesota with George Floyd I’m in no mood to tell America, good morning.

I’m done talking. These people know right from wrong and they obviously don’t care. So what we talking about? https://t.co/vOQaKFdmxs

Like many black and brown people watching this play out, Cube has also been sharing his frustration on IG and Twitter.
